Makemytrip.com – MakeMyTrip, the # 1 travel site in India, founded and promoted by Mr. Deep Kalra, is the country's leading website for all travel related products and services. They offer airline tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals, vacation destinations and even train reservations on their website. Makemytrip is targeting the American and Canadian markets, the Indian market and, recently, they have also launched makemytrip UAE. Makemytrip is now offering its first IPO in the United States and is raising approximately $ 100 million. They were oversubscribed and raised approximately $ 800 million. Their office is based in Gurgaon, India and has over 700 employees. Their code specialization is in planning and booking vacations, including incoming travelers. It is believed that they sell more than 8,000 tickets a day.
Yatra – Yatra is known to be the second best OTA travel website in the country. He was promoted by Dhruv Shringi with a few other guys, who served with eBookers before this adventure. Yatra was funded by a leading group from the Indian Reliance, TV 18 Group and NVP and recently obtained funding from Intel as well. They specialize in domestic flights. Cleartrip – Cleartrip was a new entrant in the Indian market about 3 years ago and they are known for their technology.
